Shiren the Wanderer - Image 1Atlus has scored quite a coup for the more hardcore Wii fans, securing the North American publishing rights for Shiren the Wanderer, a critically-acclaimed roguelike RPG from Chunsoft. The Atlus PR only mentioned it as such, but this game is actually a localized version of Fushigi no Dungeon - Furai no Shiren 3: Karakuri Yashiki no Nemuri Hime. Yeah, well, good call. Plain Shiren the Wanderer is shorter. More details after the jump.

Imabikisou - Image 1Ah, PS3 and PSP Remote Play. We'd all love to see this unique feature in action, but it's just a bit sad to note that it's rarely being used to its full potential as everyone might hope. But it's good to hear that some games are utilizing this function. Case in point: Sega and Chunsoft's Imabikisou, that delightfully horror flick for the PS3.

Anato Wo Yurusanai - Image 1Those who are into gaming just for the stories can check out AQ Interactive and ChunSoft's "sound novel" Anato Wo Yurusanai (I Won't Forgive You), and according to the latest TV spot for this sound novel, it promises to provide more entertainment compared to just reading plain black text over white background. This short TV ad shows a row of women reading, with one of them blissfully poring through Anato Wo Yurusanai in her PSP, reading as well as playing at the same time. Hmmm... It sounds an awful lot like playing through Phoenix Wright.

While not entirely new, novel-themed video games are now slowly gaining popularity. One recent title we've covered is Chunsoft's Anato wo Yurusanai. This time, we'd like to introduce you to Snow Portable from Japan-based development studio Prototype. It is currently available there for 5,040 Yen or roughly around US$ 43.25.

Snow Portable first appeared on the PC platform back in 2003. It was then ported on Sega Dreamcast and the PS2. It features more than 600 different stills with animations and effects. The story pushes forward with the help of a conversation system that allows players freedom to select their characters' actions.

To help you get more familiar with Snow Portable, here's the opening cut scene for the title. It shows off some of the characters as well as the plot of the game. Since it's in Japanese, let us help you with that last one: it tells the story of the dragon goddess who fell in love with a human which is utterly forbidden.
