Warhead - Image 1The CEO and President of Crytek, Cevat Yerli, revealed that Crysis: Warhead will be quite playable on a € 400 (around US$ 621) PC, even on high settings. Now, by playable, we mean 30 frames per second...not exactly the best frame rate for power PC games, but far better than we were expecting. Crytek looking for PSP programmer - Image 1It's no secret that Crytek is no longer looking to its core audience as the only market it will serve. The developer's own boss, Cevat Yerli, said that Crytek will no longer keep to PC exclusives, which then led many to believe that the next Crysis title won't be on the PC. While that possibility didn't come to fruition, what did transpire doesn't necessarily mean Crysis wouldn't eventually touch the consoles in the future. But how about handhelds? It looks like that could be a possibility, now that Crytek's looking for a PSP programmer. More at the full story.

Electronic Arts, Crytek confirm Crysis Warhead for PC - Image 1EA and Crytek have partnered up again to introduce the recently speculated Crysis Warhead, which was often thought to be Crytek's Crysis project for consoles. It appears, however, that the majority of the rumors were wrong, and the minority was right. Crysis Warhead is the second installment to the Crysis 'verse, but it doesn't go far from the predecessor. As very few have mused before, Warhead is a retelling of the Crysis incident through the eyes of Sergeant "Psycho" Sykes (a.k.a. Jason Statham for jokers out there). More details in the full story.

Crysis by Crytek for the PC - Image 1After a very successful beta period, as well as the single-player demo releases, the highly-anticipated FPS title Crysis by Crytek for the PC has finally gone gold and is already prepped up for its November 16 release date. The wait is long, especially if you were able to download the demo and checked out the Crysis' use of the CryEngine 2 Sandbox editor in creating user-made levels.

Crytek is especially proud of their opus, as can be gleaned from this statement of Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli:

"We are extremely proud of what we have been able to accomplish with Crysis. We wanted to push the boundaries both visually and with open-ended, non-linear gameplay and we believe the end result delivers that vision,"

Based on what we've seen from the game so far, the Crytek guys certainly did a good job of pushing the boundaries. But in the end, you the gamers will be the judge. Prepare to give your verdicts come November 16.
