Janua - Image 1If you've gone through seven doors to seven hells and back, there's a little bit of good news because Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew developer Cau'X PROD just updated the PSP homebrew game Janua that allowed you to do that. Janua Season 2 has less bugs, tweaked gameplay mechanics, and even a development pack for those who want to make their own Janua scenarios.

As a recap, the objective in Janua was to draw a path for a young girl who seems to have a death wish. In Janua Season 2, mechanics notched up a bit - to name a few, character collision has been improved and the girl's moving speed changed. Aside from more levels since Janua was originally released, it is also now possible to create your own levels.

For more details, you can check out PSP homebrew developer Cau'X PROD's official website if you understand French. The download below already contains Janua Season 2 and the development pack needed to design your own challenges, but there are no Readme files to help.

Janua - Image 1Janua is a homebrew game for PSP homebrew game for Firmware 1.5 and Custom Firmware 3.xx OE that has an eerie premise: 7 Hells, 7 doors, and only a pencil as your weapon. Inspiring isn't it?

As eerie as the setting may be, what's nice about it is the gameplay. The game features an autonomous character, a young lady, that the player can't control. The only means of guiding your independent main character is by drawing a line to modify the world real time.

For a better idea of how the homebrew plays, click on the video embed below:

The controls for the game is simple. R accelerates the character's walk, a combination of the D-pad or the nub, and the cross button allows you to make the outlines. That's all you need.

To download this game by Cau'X PROD, feel free to use the links below. Also, our "read" link below should lead to the developer's official site. Enjoy folks!
