A lot of us probably know that CD Projekt RED's The Witcher was a surprisingly big international success. Now, its spin-off browser based game The Witcher: DuelMail is out and is ready for testing. Now Atari may not be doing so well financially, but if there's one thing we're thankful for, it's the fact that the brand picked up CD Projekt's The Witcher and permitted the rest of the world to trod through a darker face of role-play. It looks as if Phil Harrison, now president of Infogrames, is kick-starting his plans for his new colleagues and company. Word is that Infogrames-subsidiary Atari has just received a proposal to be bought out at a reasonable price, and a special review team has been assembled to review the advantages of the agreement. After receiving some well deserved accolades with the release of The Witcher on the PC, it looks like CD Projekt is looking to expand its fan base for the game. The official site has posted job openings for console programmers specializing on the Xbox 360; suggesting that the PC-exclusive RPG title may be moving to the consoles soon.

Atari and CD Projekt's action-RPG The Witcher has been available for quite a while now and just to let everyone know what's in the game if they don't have it yet, the makers have made a playable demo available for free download in their official site. It's a pretty hefty one and we've got details in the full article.

 

If you're the type who prefers the digital method over the manual get-up-and-go approach, you'll be glad to know that The Witcher, the new RPG from CD Projekt, has joined the ranks of downloadable games over at the GamersGate website.

The downloadable game is only available in the US. If for some reason you prefer to put on your shoes and go buy the game yourself (heaven knows why you'd prefer that method) then you should know that The Witcher is already available today.

One reason to get up to go buy it with your physical self (oh heaven has provided a reason after all) may be The Witcher Limited Edition, which contains some goodies: a 204-page art book, the soundtrack CD, and the "making of the game" DVD.
