It's a huge day for the PlayStation 3 homebrew scene. Developer NDT has released the PlayStation 3 Rebuilder v3.50, which lets you unscramble the blocks of a PS3 dump to make them readable and extractable. It even allows you to re-scramble it. Details after the link.

Here's some behind-the-scenes news from the Wiibrew community concerning SaveMii, the anti-brick dongle for the Wii from Team Twiizers. bushing explains a few things about the future of the dongle in the HackMii blog; about their plans to increase production, and how the presence of mass-produced clones will affect them.

Having troubles with your constantly bricked or semi-bricked Wii? The HackMii team recently featured the Wii Recovery Dongle (a.k.a. SaveMii) on their forums, showing off the various features this hardware can do to fix any incompatibilities with your console. In the wake of homebrew developer Waninkoko's Region Changer, the homebrew community revolving around the Nintendo Wii turned to a classic Mexican standoff. On one side, there's Marcan and Bushing calling developer Waninkoko "irresponsibile" regarding the questionable release of a semi-bricking homebrew process. Ahoy, Wiibrewers! Exciting times on the Wii homebrew front these days, what with bushing keeping a tight lid on the Wii exploit that he's discovered. Nintendo finally replied to his emails earlier this week. Bushing's also released a new Wiibrew program devs might be interested in. That and more in this week's Wiibrew Weekend Warrior! No, it's not the Wii exploit, so don't ask when he'll release it. Bushing has slapped together a new program called xyzzy that returns the encryption keys of hacked IOS address spaces. Developers may find this extremely useful in their work. More in the full article.
