In 2005, Holly Bond put up a company known as Bulldog Interactive Fitness, Inc. This company was put up to help combat childhood obesity. It's pretty bad; in the United States, nine million kids aged six and above are obese (that doesn't mean "fat" - that means "so fat that health conditions and increased mortality become issues").

With multiple branches in Canada and new ones opening up in London and The United States, Bulldog is slowly gaining ground in the fitness scene. So what makes them so different from every organization which combats obesity?

They use video games. Wiis and PlayStation 2s are being used in the exercise programs offered by the center.

Among the offered exercise programs, the cycling particularly caught our attention. Children can race against friends (or the computer) using bikes connected to a Sony PlayStation 2. The pedaling will make your on-screen character move and the handlebars will actually steer the virtual bike. While they have only set up shop in Canada for now, you can expect to have a branch opening up in Wisconsin soon.
