Tortuga - Two Treasures - Image 1

Someone's finally put the treasure on the map. Correction: there's actually Two Treasures on the map, to be more specific. Tortuga: Two Treasures from Ascaron is now available. Here's an action adventure title that's immersive with all its Carribean myth, fearsome pirates, and fabled treasures. The high-seas adventure with Thomas "Hawk" Blythe and Blackbeard will put you to the test when you find out if it's really a pirate's life for you.

With the release, the developers have given us a healthy dose of screenshots for us to enjoy. These screens show off the exotic environment that the game has for its back drop. For some reason, we're surprised. You'd think that after a lot of pirate games being released left and right, they couldn't render the Carribean any more different from one game to another. Seems like Ascaron did. Click the X mark (that'd be the "Full Article" link, if you're not used to it yet) below and open up a treasure trove of screens.

Ahoy! You've met the crew, read the storyline, and seen the gameplay videos. Here's something new coming from the depths of Davy Jones' locker.

CDV's Tortuga - Two Treasures takes you on an adventure with Captain Thomas "Hawk" Blythe's and Sangua, his leading lady, to find Henry Morgan's treasure. Well, it won't be easy with Blackbeard and the Jolly Roger on his heels. We'll see what happens when this game hits the shelves in March.

While waiting for the game to set sail, feast your eyes (the one without the eyepatch) on these interface and gameplay screenshots.

Get ready laddies!"It is my intention to commandeer one of these ships; pick up a crew in Tortuga; raid, pillage, plunder, and otherwise pilfer my weaselly black guts out," said Captain Jack Sparrow in the movie "Pirates of the Carribean". Good ol' Captain Jack. We saw the island of Tortuga a number of times in the movie and what a sight it was. Yup, Tortuga was once a pirate haven, neutral hideout for pirates and their loot.

So we have fuzzy idea of what to expect from Tortuga - Two Treasures. In the game, you play as the pirate Thomas "Hawk" Blythe, captain of the frigate "Hawkwind". Hawk, together with his girlfriend Sangua (a voodoo priestess), works under the command of the infamous "Blackbeard".

The pirate Henry Morgan was Governor of Jamaica and was rumored to have amassed a vast treasure from his exploits. It was said that Morgan hid his treasures and killed those who knew about his treasure. Fifty years later, Hawk and Sangua go in search of Henry Morgan's fabled treasure. It wasn't all smooth sailing for Hawk as voodoo magic, a deadly curse, Blackbeard's wrath, and betrayal all stand between him and the treasure.

You, as Hawk, can take a host of alternatives to achieve his goals, but a level head and some strategic planning should always be within reach. You'll have a chance to fight close combat with sailors or sneak past enemies using stealth. Be ready for sword fights and cannon battles.

Tortuga - Two Treasures by CDV Software Entertainment is set for release in March of next year. Savvy?

Tortuga: Two Treasures

Tortuga, a port founded in 1492 by Europe shortly following Christopher Columbus' discovery of America. Tortuga, so named because of its resemblance to a tortoise shell, was a hotzone between the colonial superpowers of the time - Britain, France, and Spain - and was the focal point of the buccaneer era. End of history lesson.

Tortuga also happens to be the focal point of Tortuga: Two Treasures, set to come out in March. The game puts the player behind the helm of Thomas ‘Hawk’ Blythe, a 24-year-old pirate serving under the infamous Blackbeard, so expect plenty of cannon and sword battles, both on land and sea. And to give you an idea of what to expect when it makes landfall this March, here's some game vids for downloading.
