It seems like Sony has done it again as the PlayStation Portable has once again dominated the sales charts in Japan for yet another week. On the flip side of things, five new video game titles have wedged themselves into the top slots of the software market. Welcome to our first ever edition of the Wii Weekend Warrior, where we talk about the latest news and updates for Nintendo's motion-sensing brainchild. The Wii scene's rumbling as E3 nears, and it looks like Wii gamers will have their hands full for the rest of the year! Quite a good time to start off this blog's Weekend Warrior, if I do say so myself.

The ESRB website has revealed that the NES classic R.B.I. Baseball may soon be coming to Xbox 360s. The game was recently spotted on the ESRB listings and is apparently being worked on by Six Degrees Games.

It seems like Nintendo is still enjoying its lead for this week's software sales list in Japan as the numbers from Media Create showed Mario Kart Wii topping the charts once again. Capcom's own Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G maintained its place in the second slot. The other contenders are trying to catch up to these two, while some have dropped straight off the list. Baseball as a sport may be struggling at the pro leagues, but that doesn't mean the fun is dying. As a matter of fact, the younger crowd seems to be headed for a nice treat to the stadium as Activision announces Little League World Series 2008 for the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS. Nintendo threw us a curve ball when it announced Super Mario Sluggers for the Nintendo Wii at the San Francisco media summit a few days back. It's been confirmed that the U.S. will be getting the game, prompted perhaps by the blockbuster success of Super Smash Bros. Brawl there.
