Guitar Hero III - Image 1Two days before the game's release, the soundtrack for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock has apparently been leaked (again!), but this time with gameplay videos for almost all of them. Which means, the list we previously saw is now more or less confirmed.

The soundtrack list includes all 74 songs included in the game, even the bonus tracks. Guitar Heroes III: Legends of Rock will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and the Wii on October 28. The PC and Mac versions will be released on November 12.

To watch the videos for the songs, follow the read link at the end of the list. Now without further ado, to-do, and hullabaloo, here are the songs as recap from the previously leaked list:

Tier 1: Starting Out Small
  1. Slow Ride - as made famous by Foghat
  2. Talk Dirty to Me - by Poison
  3. Hit Me with Your Best Shot - as made famous by Pat Benatar
  4. Story of My Life - as made famous by Social Distortion
  5. Encore: Rock and Roll All Nite - as made famous by Kiss
  6. Co-op Encore: Sabotage - by Beastie Boys
Check out the complete list in the full article.

And while real-time strategists (and crafty Napoleons out there) await the second installment to Supreme Commander, Gas Powered Games has taken the time to provide tidbits of new information on Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. And fortunately, it also comes with a couple new screenshots and a short video to boot.

Commanders, the Infinite War has ravaged the war machines that fueled it. And with the Seraphim at human kind's doorsteps, all odds have turned against us. The Cybran Nation, the Aeon Illuminate, and the United Earth Federation must unite to halt the Seraphim invasion, before it dishes out vengeful destruction on every human world in its wake.

A list of new Cybran units with screenshots await you at the full article!

Guitar Hero III Xbox 360 boxshot - Image 1As we come close to Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock's (Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii) much anticipated October 29 release, it's inevitable to find rumors and speculations about Activision's hottest title. One person from Aeropause, for example, claims he got a hold of the game's entire track list including those available only through download.

Aeropause sourced a certain "JoshTheBoss" from GameSpot as the one who gave the tip. Upon nosing around, we could only find a GameSpot user going by the name. Unless an insider is hiding under the same handle, this grand song collection could be just another gamer's wishlist. It is also odd how Tom Morello is under Tier 2 when he's supposed to be the third boss.

However, rock fans won't be disappointed if this list is legit - Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Slipknot, Metallica and many others are all there to rock. Check it out yourself:

Tier 1:
  • Foghat - Slow Ride
  • Poison - Talk Dirty to Me
  • Pat Benatar - Hit Me With Your Best Shot
  • Social Distortion - Story of My Life
  • Encore: Kiss - Rock and Roll All Nite
  • Co-op Encore: Beastie Boys - Sabotage
Tier 2:
  • Mountain - Mississippi Queen
  • Alice Cooper - School's Out
  • Cream - Sunshine of Your Life
  • Heart - Barracuda
  • Boss: Tom Morello - Guitar Battle
  • Encore: Rage Against the Machine - Bulls on Parade
  • Co-op Encore: The Strokes - Reptilia
Find the rest after the jump!

WoWWoW's turning two soon, and Blizzard's not about to let anybody forget that as they sponsor WoW's 2nd anniversary sweepstakes; and the prizes are looking very good indeed. The Sweepstakes begins October 29, 2006 at 12:01 AM Pacific Time (Hmm, we're two days late...sorry, our bad) and ends on November 26, 2006 at 11:59 PM PT. Anybody with an account of good standing are automatically eligible for either sweepstakes, and only citizens living in U.S. states (exculding the states of Florida, Rhode Island, Puerto Rico), and players aged 18 or above are eligible.

Legacy Player sweepstakes are eligible for the award in mentioned earlier, and are also eligible for a special 5th week luck draw, and one lucky winner receives an XPS Gaming Laptop, a $100.00 JINX Gift Certificate, and a two-year World of Warcraft subscription with an approximate retail value of $2,500.00.

Potential winners will be announced on the official website, worldofwarcraft.com. The player's most-played character name and resident server will be posted, and emails will be sent to the winning character. Only one prize is allowed per entrant. This is just the basic gist of the event - for the nitty-gritty details, we recommend you check out this article's source link. The next  few weeks could just be your lucky day!

seagateA few months back, Seagate announced that the company was in the planning stages of a project for mega-capacity hard drives for non-business consumers. Now, Seagate has patented its Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR) technology that increases disk capacity by 10 times or one terabyte of data. HAMR technology includes nanotube-based lubrication to allow the read/write head of a disk to get closer to the surface and store more information.

Decreasing the size of the data-recording areas on a disk surface means more data can be packed together, increasing the capacity of the disk. The drawback in reading and writing ever-smaller bits is that the read/write head has to come closer to the disk surface. This means a tough lubricant layer on the surface that won't evaporate is necessary.

Seagate's new technology features a reservoir inside the disk casing containing the nanotube-based lubricant. The lubricant is regularly pumped out as a vapor and deposited on the surface of the disk, renewing the layer of lubricant that evaporated. The lubricant reservoirs will be built to last the life of the disk.

The new technology is expected to boost disk capacity by a factor of 10 making it possible to manufacture 600GB 1.8-in., 1.46TB 2.5-in., and 7.5TB Barracuda 3.5-in. drives.
