Sony and Polyphony Digital have announced that the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue demo will be staying on the Japanese PlayStation Store than originally announced. Instead of getting removed on November 11, the free demo will be available on the Japanese PlayStation Store until November 30.The Gran Turismo 5 Prologue demo shows off the Suzuka racing circuit as well as seven different cars including the Nissan GT-R, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR and the BMW 135i Coupe. The demo isn't online-capable, but you can still simulate one hell of a driving experience by having 16 cars on the track all at once. The full version of Sony and Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will be available on both the PlayStation Store and in retail stores on December 11. |

The news of Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 5 Prologue hitting stores and the PlayStation Store at December 13 isn't so far back in our memory,
but an official announcement at the on-going Tokyo Game Show added a
few more details to the free downloadable demo coming soon. On October
20, a month from now, you can expect to try out digital replicas of new
car models, such as the shiny, sexy Nissan GT-R.This revelation coincides with the first day of the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show, the 40th iteration of the celebrated car show. And just to up the game's constant drool factor with its fans, Sony also released another slew of screenshots, plus a trailer to get your engines primed. You can view the video by following the Via link. Got game? You can bet fellow blogger Rio S. does, because the Nissan GT-R is top choice. A BMW Z4 is just enough to whet this writer's appetite, so what's the chariot you're aching to try? Check out more Gran Turismo 5 Prologue screenshots. More screenshots to zoom your way, if you go to the full article. |

Ever wonder what happens behind the scenes before races? Pit crews, drivers, and the shiny shiny cars? Well, we've got some screenshots straight from Polyphony Digital's upcoming PlayStation 3 video game, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, that illustrate just what happens backstage of the race track. Remember the last batch of screenshots? More cars are showcased this time around (with this writer's personal favorite, the Nissan GT-R Proto): Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, Ferrari F430, Alfa Romeo Brera, Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione, Audi R8, Audi TT 3.2 Quattro, and BMW Z4 3.0i. Whew. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is definitely a car enthusiast's dream come true. Anyway, check out the screenshots and tell us what you think. In case you need reminding, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is set to invade the shelves (or the PlayStation Network) worldwide in October 26. In the meantime, ogle all you like.

BMW sent prototypes of its revolutionary new Hydrogen 7 cars to NASA for testing and the clean, mean and green vehicles came out with flying colors after being graded for their efficiency. The Hydrogen 7 is based on the design of the BMW 760Li and carries a dual combustion engine which can use either gasoline or fuel hydrogen. What's more, it can switch seamlessly between the two and deliver the same results each time. It's strong V12 engine delivers 260hp, a top speed of 143 miles an hour and accelerates from 0 to 60 miles in 9.2 seconds. The high performance comes with the distinctive BMW look and ease of handling that luxury drivers look for. The best part about the BMW Hydrogen 7 is its contribution to the prevention of climate change. When running on hydrogen, its emissions are essentially as harmless as water vapor. |

Whether you like video game-based movies or not, "Resident Evil: Extinction" is well on its way. September 21 is right around the corner, and we can expect aggressive marketing before the fated day comes. To promote the movie, Sony unleashed a hot BMW motorcycle at Comic-con.
Because of the "Zombie Violence" tag, let's just call it that. The decals look sweet and all, the polish is perfect, and the whole thing looks like a beast, but we'd sell a dozen Ducati to the junkyard just to get a bike with Resident Evil on it. Watching the movie is an entirely different issue. |
