Another year, another Gran Turismo game, another car to digitize. For
Gran Turismo HD, it was the 1960 Chevrolet Corvette, who won Best in
Show at Sony's 4th annual Gran Turismo Awards ceremony at the SEMA
show. This year, it's the 2007 Audi TT. You'll get to see it in a
future Gran Turismo game and get to bang it up real nice.We also have a ton of new screenshots for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. Check out the full article to view shiny cars going really, really fast, and a full shot of the 2007 Audi TT (which would make a real cool Autobot). |

A few of years back people were doubtful about the popularity of alternative fuel automobiles. Critics say that it will never match traditional gasoline-powered automobiles in both popularity and power. Well, those critics may just have to eat their own words as ten of the fastest "green" cars show just how fast they can get on the road without an ounce of gasoline in their tanks. The image on top speaks for itself. Nothing says "powerful" better than a Dodge Viper. Especially now that this ethanol-powered vehicle was able to break the standing-mile speed record, which coincidentally belonged to a modified gas-powered Viper coupe. Here's a short list of the other vehicles that have pushed themselves into the list of the world's fastest alternative-fuel based automobiles:

Ever wonder what happens behind the scenes before races? Pit crews, drivers, and the shiny shiny cars? Well, we've got some screenshots straight from Polyphony Digital's upcoming PlayStation 3 video game, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, that illustrate just what happens backstage of the race track. Remember the last batch of screenshots? More cars are showcased this time around (with this writer's personal favorite, the Nissan GT-R Proto): Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, Ferrari F430, Alfa Romeo Brera, Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione, Audi R8, Audi TT 3.2 Quattro, and BMW Z4 3.0i. Whew. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is definitely a car enthusiast's dream come true. Anyway, check out the screenshots and tell us what you think. In case you need reminding, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is set to invade the shelves (or the PlayStation Network) worldwide in October 26. In the meantime, ogle all you like.

Electronic Arts recently gave out the the first car list for its video game Need For Speed ProStreet, and its looking pretty sweet. Each car is said to be "selected for a reason", whether because it is "unique, aspirational, memorable or highly desirable". A big addition to the car list is the Nissan GT-R PROTO (pictured at right). This is the first time it has ever been featured in any game. It was first revealed at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show and really turned heads when it came out. Another car that most people would probably want to take a spin in is the 2008 BMW M3. Personally, I'd still go for the 1999 Mazda RX-7, but then I've always been a Mazda fanboy. Anyway, we're sure most of you are pretty excited about the selection so here's the list. First car list for Need For Speed ProStreet:

Are you ready for the biggest i-gadget ever? A couple of years back we told you how Apple announced its partnership with some car manufacturers: Acura, Audi, Honda and Volkswagen. These auto makers wanted to put the ever ubiquitous iPod into their stereo systems and Apple obliged. Now, having your car iPod-integrated is already old news. What's probably fashionable now is having your car name sounding like an Apple product. Only recently Volkswagen released its new iGolf with a big bang. iGolf is just like Volkswagen's best selling model in history, the Golf, only the i-toting model has a matching iPod dock hidden away in an armrest. The VW iGolf is worth the equivalent of US$ 24,171 in Spain. |
