In case you guys are still not aware, PSP Firmware 3.03 is already out. We have already settled before that despite its issues with homebrew games and applications, the updates allow for more PlayStation games to be played on our dear, lovely handhelds. True enough, just hours after the release, Sony Japan has announced a new batch of titles that can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store.

The following titles will go live beginning December 21 for the Japanese market only. They can be purchased for the usual price of 525 Yen or roughly around US$ 4.45. Also, we're pretty sure you're quite familiar with some of these titles as they've been Dino Crisisported before for the U.S. market.
  • R-Types (Irem, shooter)
  • Taiyo no Shippo (aka Tail of the Sun, Artdink, action)
  • U-SA (Artdink, puzzle)
  • Dino Crisis (Capcom, action-adventure)
  • Global Force (SCE, sim)
  • Gekisou Tomaranna (SCE, racing)
  • Maru Oukoku no Ningyou Hime (Nippon Ichi, RPG)
  • The Convenie Ano Machi wo Dokusen se yo (Hamster, sim)
  • Mr. Driller (Bandai Namco Games, action)
As of this writing, Sony Japan is yet to make any statements about the said titles being available in other territories. In the meanwhile, why don't you try your luck with Santa's PS3-for-one-dollar offer...

Now boarding, the Orient Express. Especially since this is an Orient-only release.

Artdink's A-Train HX should appeal to those who've always dreamed of running their own model railroad. Well, it's not that the Xbox 360, or any console for that matter, would be well known for the simulation genre (not after Gears of War, anyways), but it is nice to see a dev take a crack at the genre for a console like the 360.

Even if, and this is Xboxyde's criticism, not ours, "others will certainly be disgusted by the graphics not even worthy of a Sega's home console">dreamcast" (You do mean Sega's last console, right, Xboxyde?). But then again, it is nice to see console gaming expand to new, or at least relatively untouched, territories. They should do this more often. And hey, if the DS can get Sim City...

So if you look out your right window, you'll see the lovely scenery of A-Train HX pass by as our train chugs along towards its release date. And in a few moments, long enough for you to scroll down and click on the DL link, you can also have a catch of the latest trailer to A-Train HX. The only derailment to this journey? A-Train is - so far as we know - Japan-only. Maybe Artdink will change their minds, somewhere down the A-line.
