If you thought you were good at Tetris, then you probably haven't seen TGM HOLiC, also known as Jin8, at work. Specifically, the Tetris variation known as Arika's Tetris: The Grand Master 3 Terror-Instinct, a particularly-difficult version that was released to test the seasoned masters of the tetrimominos over at Japan.

For the uninitiated, Tetris is a puzzle game involving differently-shaped blocks that fall from the top of the screen to the bottom. Your task as a player is to arrange the blocks to fall in such a way that they form rows. If these rows are formed, then they're wiped from the game screen and points are added to your score.

Losing in Tetris means failing to arrange the blocks into neat rows, creating a buildup that fills the screen. Once the buildup reaches the entry point of the blocks, called Tetrominos, the game ends.

Sounds easy enough, right? Not so easy when you're playing in a mode where the blocks fall instantly, and in another mode, they disappear as soon as they land. That's how Jin8 plays, and you'll see how in the video below. Just remember to pick up your jaw afterwards.

Endless Ocean screenshot - Image 1Looks like Australia will be taking the plunge too. We're picking up word that Arika's Endless Ocean (aka Forever Blue in Japan) for the Wii console has been rated "G" by Australia's Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC). This effectively confirms that it's heading for the the land Down Under.

Still unknown is when the game is expected to launch in the said region. As a recap, Endless Ocean is scheduled to launch in Europe on November 9, and in North America on October 29. We'll let you know if we can confirm when Australia can partake of the game's marine life and sea wrecks.

We'll dispense with the Little Mermaid jokes and give you one tried and true fact of life, right here, right now: being in the water is peaceful as heck. When you're in the water, you can forget about all your troubles for a little while as you immerse yourself, literally and figuratively, in the world around you.

Right now, we know of one immersive game that's trying to do the same on the Nintendo Wii. It's Arika and Nintendo's Endless Ocean, and spending a little while watching this gameplay trailer is kind of relaxing: it makes us want to just lounge around and forget our writing deadlines.

Of course, we can't do that (we have you guys to think of), but we can give you guys the opportunity to feel at peace for a little while. Dim the lights, watch the video of Endless Ocean (Forever Blue in Japan)and listen to the beautiful background vocals, and enjoy a quick trip under the sea.
