What's more addicting than popping bubble wrap? Popping bugs, apparently. Enter this trippy homebrew game for the iPhone. Bugz was created by Didev Studios and is already available on the App Store. The game's objective is simple: just touch the screen to pop a required amount of bugs to eliminate. Another major franchise is jumping on board the iPhone wagon: SimCity. Not only can you play god and torment your citizens with a tornado out of nowhere, but now you can do it on the go too! The game will come out on the App store sometime this December.

Sony says they're not afraid of Apple's gadgets. Nintendo, on the other and, says that their new DSi is not after the same pie. Who to believe? If you'd rather listen to BusinessWeek, then both Sony and Nintendo are in a phase of denial. Because according to their report, Apple's gadgets are soon to become "a mobile gaming force."

Game developer ngmoco has announced their upcoming slate of new games for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. There's the LocoRoco-like Rolando, the trippy MazeFinger, and the stacking-and-balancing game Topple. Details and screenshots after the jump.

TransGaming has announced that it will be bringing D3Publisher's hit puzzle-slash-RPG title Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords (Xbox 360, PSP, PS3, DS, Wii, PC, Mobile) to the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.
