UK launch of Nyko Zoom lens for Kinect dated

UK Kinect gamres will soon have their hands on the Nyko Zoom Lens accessory for Microsoft's motion-technology.

Said the Nyko Zoom's marketing manager, Andrew Miles, "We have high expectations for Zoom over the peak season and beyond, due to the excitement at E3 along with the massive opportunity in the UK. The average room size is much smaller here than in the US, especially in flats and university accommodation."

Having to use up 40% less than the usual, therefore, should be a big help to those in cramped spaces. All you have to do to make it work is to clip the zoom lens onto the Kinect sensor, and that's it. You don't even need to install any more software or plug it into a source.

Miles furthered, "Nyko should be applauded for assisting Microsoft in opening up the market for Kinect in the UK. Demand is already huge prior to release and will only grow rapidly once stock lands and consumers get to try the device for themselves.

Microsoft, however, does not seem to take too nicely to Nyko's accessory, saying that, "Kinect has been tested for performance, accuracy and environmental conditions thoroughly. Any modification can impact the performance of Kinect."

It's ultimately up to you, anyway, if you'd want to add on something to your Kinect. If you do decide to pick up the Nyko Zoom Lens, theyn watch out for it in the UK on October, at £29.99.

A new accessory is set to come out from accessory maker Nyko for Microsoft's Kinect.

The Nyko Kinect Zoom Lens acessory should be able to solve the problem of space for the motion tech's lenses. Reportedly, GamingZap's already got tons of pre-orders pouring in, affirming the high demand for an attachable zoom lens.

Said marketing director Chris Arbogast, "The success of the Zoom at E3 was outstanding and we are incredibly excited to help expand the already thriving fanbase of Kinect gamers, allowing even more people to enjoy the thrills of being the controller."

UK will be getting it on August 30th, while it was previously confirmed for the US on August 23, for US$ 29.99.

The Kinect continues to impress developers, with Crytek being the most vocal about it as of late, guaranteeing that its "really, really easy" to develop for it.
