NBA 2K12 Puts Heat at #1

Miami holds the top slot despite losing the NBA championship to the Mavericks – who are somehow ranked #5.

Team rankings in sports video games have rarely been 100% accurate, and it looks like this trend is continuing in 2K Sports’ newest iteration of the “NBA 2K” franchise. While the Mavericks managed to crush the Heat in the finals earlier this year, 2K Sports has them ranked in fifth place overall in “NBA 2K12.” Taking the top spot is the Miami Heat, who also has the best player in the league – LeBron James.

I know the rankings in “2K12” are aimed more at a team’s potential in the upcoming season, but it seems like a pretty big leap to drop Dallas from the best team in the league to number five. Then again, I’m not great with basketball, so maybe 2K Sport knows something that I don’t.

DICE guarantees console players won't get short end of the Battlefield 3 stick

DICE has always been open and honest about the PC being the best platform for Battlefield 3. That is not to say, however, that the console versions will be of a lesser quality.

Producer Patrick Liu stresses this fact in a recent interview, guaranteeing PS3 and Xbox 360 owners awaiting for the release of their much-awaited FPS that they definitely won't be getting less from the game at all.

Said Liu in Edge's latest issue, "It has the same amount of destruction and the same amount of visual fidelity. It's also a misconception I've seen on the internet that the console version won't have jets - that's not true.

We've scaled the maps accordingly for console so it makes the pacing all right and the balancing is good. If you play a big Conquest map then the map is balanced accordingly.

If it's any consolation, if you can call it that, PS3 players have been promised that the DLC to the game will arrive one week early for their end over the others. As for the PC spec requirements of the game, you might want to check out this link here.

Duke Nukem Forever official website now up

Duke Nukem Forever is here to stay well, forever, hopefully, and Gearbox is making sure this happens by launching the game's official website.

The website is fully made in flash, in all its glory, and it does manage to excite visitors, especially if you're a die-hard, true-blue Duke Nukem fan.

Add to all that flashy jazz, the website also has some really cool music to groove to, successfully bringing that much needed vibe to the game.

With all these promotions rolling out - ESRB rating, Balls of Steel Edition, pre-order bonuses - all these should be enough to finally let it sink in to you. Yes, Duke Nukem Forever really is happening, and there's definitely no stopping it now!
