Black Friday is a strange tradition, but it’s one that holds quite a bit of marketing sway here in the States. I’m not sure why exactly everyone decided that the day after Thanksgiving was the best shopping day of the year, or why retailers decided to turn it into a cataclysmic shopping event, but that’s just the world we live in now. Black Friday sales amount for a seriously large percentage of holiday revenue.
If waiting in line at stores early in the morning and trampling other people to get electronic goods is your speed, Wal-Mart has you covered with this year’s ridiculous video game Black Friday offers.

There are a number of other specials going on, but those seem to be the most high profile.

A new Kinecxt title is looking to bring to life on video game the infamous mercenary company, Blackwater.
Under the tutelage of Zombie Studios, the mercenary game was crafted in partnership with no less than Blackwater founder, Erik Prince.
Curiously enoug, though, when you talk of a mercenary game, one would think that it's going to be full of blood and gore. Not quite the scenario here in Blackwater, though. Zombie Studios said that they have in fact turned those elements down, instead going for sub-human enemies for players to hunt and shoot down.
Blackwater is expected to come out for Kinect by next month, October. In the meantime, do check out this video of the game in action below.

Come tomorrow, September 6th, Killzone 3 fans will be greeted with a brand new patch from Guerrilla Games.
Patch 1.12 has been confirmed for the game, which promises to bring in several changes explicitly requested by the community. But some of the items included in the patch are better turrets for the Enginer, option to switch of Sixaxis-only action, as well as some tweaks to the scramble ability for the Marksman.
Anyway, here's the complete list of changes for your perusal:
Careers:
Changed Marksman's scramble ability into an active ability - The marksman scramble ability now needs to be activated and deactivated via the d-pad, and has a cooldown period.
Increased tracking response for engineer turrets - The turn speed of turrets has been increased, allowing them to track players more easily.
Increased armor for engineer turrets (30%) - Turrets can still be destroyed by a single explosion from a grenade or missile launcher.
Weapons:
Improved StA-2 Battle Pistol - Detonation time for the StA-2 Battle Pistol's grenade is shorter, and the damage it deals is more severe.
Maps:
Added realtime projector to MP15 Radec Academy - A realtime projector has been added to the theater room, projecting onto the large wall with two doors.
Sound:
Toned down overly enthusiastic death screams - Aieeeeaaargh!
Matches:
Increased mission points in Warzone - There is more of an incentive to go after mission objectives now.
Doubled cooldown time on mortars - Cooldown time was increased from 30 to 60 seconds to avoid spamming the Search & Destroy mission area.
Fixed tournaments not ending as soon as one clan leaves.
Fixed clans being able to rejoin games that were already finished - Clans used these exploits to boost their game wins and climb the leaderboards.
Reduced wait time at end of the round - The wait time was brought down from 60 to 45 seconds.
Reduced pre-game wait time at end of the round - The wait time was brought down from 30 to 20 seconds.
Interface:
Added menu option to disable Sixaxis-only actions - Sixaxis-only actions can now be switched off in the menu, so players only have to press 'O' to start an action. This will make Killzone 3 more accessible to disabled players.
Added map name to spawn screen - The map name can be seen in the top left, under the titles.
Back in July, Killzone 3 crossed over to LittleBigPlanet as a mini-pack, featuring the Rico and Hazmat Trooper costumes.

There's more to come to Street Fighter X Tekken. This video says as much, as Capcom teases some more of them fighters gracing this game with their action-packed presence.
The first video points to an apparent Tekken character who will be joining the rest of the gang in the ring. Meanwhile, the second one teases someone from the Street Fighter camp. It's up to you to see for yourself and conclude who these characters being teased are, but regardless, it's bound to generate some more excitement from hardcore fans.
Street Fighter X Tekken is set to as well for the PS Vita, as recently confirmed, and will also be featuring a PS3 connectivity. They've also sent out recently a new cinematic trailer, which you guys might want to see here.

Wow, that Old Spice guy really hit the jackpot when he did that now infamous commercial! Not only has he been given a break to do cameos in movies, he's also now dipping his feet into video games voice acting.
His game of choice? As it would turn out, it's Gears of War 3. GameSpot reports from the Comic Con that Isaiah Mustafa (yes, that's Old Spice guy's real name) has been confirmed to join the cast, "voicing one of the COG Gears."
Cliff Bleszinski of Epic Games was also quoted as saying "The cast just keeps getting sexier and sexier." And it sure does. So far, the confirmed voice actors for Gears of War 3 include Claudia Black, John di Maggio and Ice-T, among others.
Last month, Epic Games was rocked by a massive leak on the game, which was promptly followed by the developers moving to have said illegal copies taken down from the Internet. Microsoft followed suit with a close investigation on the leak.
Gears of Wars 3 comes out exclusively for the Xbox 360 in but a short couple of months.

Haven't checked in to your inFamous 2 game? Then you might be surprised to find a new patch waiting for you when you do.
Sucker Punch sent out this new patch to get rid of that bug which lets players buy powers at a cost of nothing. You can't just go picking up stuff for free, you know. Anyway, apart from that, the new patch should also prep your game's UGC for additional content coming your way soon.
Aside from those glitches, however, everything seems to be running smoothly for Cole's latest adventure, despite having been leaked before it officially launched at retail. A couple of weeks back, Japan also got a shiny new trailer for it.
