In late 2008, Square Enix put a new spin into the Final Fantasy franchise with Dissidia: Final Fantasy. Later this year, the company will be releasing a sequel called Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy. If you really loved the direction Square Enix took with Dissidia, then make sure you get Duodecim. There won't be a next one.

Square Enix is fond of elaborate tie-ins for their flagship Final Fantasy franchise. For Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy, they came up with a little demo-slash-prologue adventure called Dissidia Duodecim Prologus. It was released in Japan last month shortly after Square Enix's January conference. Square Enix has yet to announce when it will be released outide Japan, but it seems that date will be soon.

Square Enix has got a major treat for all you Final Fantasy fans out there. This coming week, the publisher will be releasing the first two original titles of their famed Final Fantasy franchise on the PlayStation Network.

The first two Final Fantasy games are probably counted among the most remade and/or re-released titles in Square Enix's whole game library. If you didn't manage to catch the PSP remakes, you can get them via the EU PSN soon.

Prishe has already been confirmed for Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy, revealed alongside Gilgamesh. But since the Final Fantasy XI veteran is less popular than the series mainstay, she had to take the back seat to the multi-armed swordsman. In the latest round of mag scans, however, those who aren't familiar with her will get to know her better.
