For the most part, how much money a given title costs is up to the developer and Sony, but starting tomorrow, you have an opportunity to score discounts on titles you’d like to play. Here’s how:

The PlayStation Network Gamers’ Choice Awards officially begin February 28 at 3pm PST. If you visit the PlayStation Store after that time, you can vote for your favorite games out of a number of categories. Mortal Kombat Confirmed for Vita

The only thing better than performing bloody fatalities is performing them on the go.

Fans of fights to the death rejoice, for Mortal Kombat is coming to your PS Vitas. The game, developed by NetherRealm specifically for the Vita, doesn’t have an official street date quite yet, but all indications point to a spring release – Fatality!

Details are scarce on the upcoming fighter; what we know is that the Vita version of Mortal Kombat was built around portable gaming and features a few new game mechanics to take advantage of the Vita’s unique control scheme. Look for details over the next couple of months, as all we have to go on at the moment is the official announcement from NetherRealm.

Mortal Kombat is just the latest in a fairly long stream of fighters for the Vita – Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Street Fighter x Tekken and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend are all expected in the first few months of the system’s western release.

Will you be compelled to buy a Vita now that Mortal Kombat is heading to the system?

NYCC 2011: Capcom's line-up

This weekend, Capcom flies off to New York to participate in this year's New York Comic Con (NYCC) event.

If you happen to be in the area, you might as well drop by because the publisher not only has a truckload of goodies for you all, but also a bunch of special surprises.

For panel activities, they'll be having the following events:

Street Fighter - Yoshinori Ono talks updates on the upcoming fighting game. A Q&A session will follow straight up, to include some special surprises. Be there on Friday, October 14, at 5:15 - 6:15PM, at the American Airlines Theater, 1A06

Ultimate Marvels vs. Capcom 3 - Producer Ryota Niitsuma is set to take the stage, not only to give us some more details about it, but also to give us an exclusive behind-the-scenes look. Again, a Q&A will follow. Panel happens on Saturday, October 15th, 2:45PM - 3:45PM, at the American Airlines Theater, 1A06.

Resident Evil - Saturday at the NYCC is going to be a "Resident Evil Day", in celebration of its 15th anniversary. For this day, you are invited to come as your favorite RE character, whether classic or new. While donning your favorite character's costume, settle in andlisten to what producer Rey Jimenez has to say about the latest game iterations. Q&A session, too. Sunday, October 16th, 12:15PM - 1:15PM, American Airlines Theater, 1A06.

Playable demos: Dragon's Dogma, RE: Operation Raccoon City, RE: Revelations, Street Fighter X Tekken, Asura's Wrath, Dead Rising 2 Off the Record, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Street Fighter IV: Volt.

SFXT BOWL MMXI! - football challenges on a custom indoor SFXT football field. Saturday, October 15th, Level 1 -Exhibit Hall 1B, Noon - 1PM.
