We've covered a lot of awesome games that have hit the Xbox Live Arcade ever since it came out. However, it took some time for them to release two games that I personally have been waiting for: Bomberman Live from Hudson and Yie Ar Kung-Fu from Konami.
Let's start with the IP that most would recognize: Bomberman Live. If you've been lucky enough to play the first multiplayer version of this game on the Super Nintendo, then you'll understand the excitement we feel over this announcement. The game can support up to four players on one console or eight players via online multiplayer.
They've also added extensive customization features for your bomberman with up to 10,000 possible combinations. So far they've announced four arenas and 16 powerups in the game. Hopefully, we'll be seeing more downloadable content for this game in the future. You can get this awesome game for 800 MS Points.
Konami's offering of Yie Ar Kung-Fu is no slouch either. If you've played this on your NES or in the Arcade, you'll probably know that this is about a fighter named Oolong on a quest to become the ultimate champion. Along the way he'll have to battle through four characters with various weapons and skills among them, a shuriken-throwing lady and a character who uses a psychocrusher-like move a la M.Bison.
To break the monotony, there's a bonus stage where you get to hit flying fans as they come hurtling towards you from both sides. So how much will this classic cost you? 400 MS points.
Both games will be out this July 18, so log on then to download it. Keep checking back here for more Xbox Live Arcade updates and releases.

The arcade version looks a bit better (and plays a lot better).
The enhanced XBLA version looks good, but not great.
I'll still be picking it up for a measly 400 points
