XNA - Asteroid Defense |
Ó

So you're in a small ship that can shoot energy beams and other types of projectiles. Asteroids are on their way to destroy your planet. What else are you supposed to do? This game lets you do what you should: shoot those asteroids down!
The controls for the game are as follows:
360 controller:
Left Joystick -- Move ship left and right.
A -- Shoot
Right or Left Trigger -- Change Weapon.
Keyboard
Left and Right Arrow Keys -- Move ship left and right.
Up and Down Arrow Keys -- Change Weapon
Space -- Shoot
What's interesting is that the stronger the weapon you use in this game, the less points per asteroid you get. So better keep tabs on what weapon you're currently using (it's located in the upper left corner of the screen), alright? The levels progress at timed intervals and more and more asteroids arrive to stress you out. You lose when one of the asteroids fall on the planet.
According to the creator, Izzy545, the game took around 24 hours to finish and comes in at only 601 lines of code. If you got an XNA set up, you can check the game out yourself. Just click on the download link below.
