Recently, Microsoft has taken the wraps off its new website dubbed as the Xbox Live Pipeline. What is it? Basically, it's a site that enables you to check out what's available for download on the marketplace. Well, it does what you could do at xbox.com, but with Pipeline you would be able to see pictures from themes, games' screenshots and the price info so you won't have to rely on faith alone.

But if you're the indecisive type who needs a magic 8-ball to make up your mind, the site also has a download recommendations sections that you can check out. Of course, you'd have to fill out that Pipeline survey to make it more accurate. Time to bring out that magic 8-ball, we suppose.

The site is completely in Macromedia was bought by its former rival back in December of 2005">Macromedia Flash is now Adobe Flash">Macromedia Flash so you may want to upgrade to a faster internet connection if you're still on the modem. Whether Pipeline or marketplace would be updated first about new downloads is still an up-in-the-air issue. For now, you could click on the link below to have a look at it yourself.

Ummm. in order to have Xbox Live you have to have a broadband connection if I am not mistaken.

» themes/pics preview?

maybe i'm just thick, but i can't see where on there they let you see the actual themes and gamer pics. THAT would be an excellent feature.

i had the same thought, but apparently previews of themes and gamer pics are ALREADY available on xbox.com (someone was kind enough to post a link to it in another forum after I said the same thing you did)

» No rollup list

Why can Microsoft not put together a rollup list on the site of everything added to Live in date order?

I find it frustrating relying on forums and spending time etc to find out the latest downloads. It would be great to view all downloads in one list (with the cost if not free).
