Xbox Live Global Manager talks about XBLVM launch in Canada |

Microsoft has finally confirmed the availability of Xbox Live Video Marketplace in Europe and Canada this coming December 11. Canada Community correspondent Jade recently interviewed Xbox Live Global Marketing Manager Scott Nocas about the matter.
According to Nocas, the service will go live at exactly 12:01 a.m. PST on December 11 in Canada. The manager explained that the delay was due to certain considerations Microsoft had to make. He said:
We pushed it back because we thought that the service was big enough to deserve its own launch, and we wanted to make sure we tested everything and had it all ready so you had a great experience when you try it. Right away at launch, youÂ’ll be able to download to your heartÂ’s content.
Scott Nocas also divulged that pricing for XBLVM downloads will be comparable to other video-on-demand service in the region. Library titles can be had for 310 and 460 Microsoft Points for standard definition (SD) and high definition (HD) respectively.
Current movies, on the other hand, will be priced for 460 (SD) and 610 (SD) Microsoft Points. Aside from that, Nocas also promised that movies from their three film conglomerates will be available right from day one. He shared this list:
