Xbox Live: Free Catan copy for new XBL Gold members |
Ó
Here's an interesting offer for the gamers that are thinking of joining the Live community. Microsoft is sending word of a promo that entitles new registrants to their 12-month Xbox Live Gold membership package to a free copy of Live Arcade's Catan title.
As a recap, this title from Big Huge Games is an online version of the Settlers of Catan board game originally created by Klaus Teuber. Microsoft's promo covers any registrations made since last February 25, and will end on March 25. Just don't go thinking you'll be getting your Catan copy immediately after you sign up, though - the promo's fine print indicates that your game will arrive six to eight weeks after you register.
On the bright side, the extra MS points this freebie frees up should give you ample opportunity to sample the other titles up for grabs on Xbox Live. Full details on this promo are available via the source link.

what do the loyal customers who have been paying for years get?
thats what they get
Why wouldn't current members get it for free as well??? They should make it free at long as you're in an at least 12 month subscription, I'm in a 15 month subscription at the moment, but what do I get? Nothing.
