The official website of the Xbox Live Diamond Card program is informing everyone that there has been a couple of important changes in the management that will greatly affect your subscription.

To start things off, it was said that the Diamond Card will now be handled by the company Password Unlimited and that will bring about an annual subscription fee of US$ 6.95. No new registrations will be allowed during the transition period  from January 1 to February 28.

Aside from the already mentioned, it was also said that the new website will likely go live on March 1 when in can accommodate would-be members as well. The payment will be done through credit card means. The announcement further reads:

Current members will remain on the program for free until their membership expire in 2008. Any further renewal will require the new fee. And, members with renewal dates in the Jan - Feb 2008 time frame will continue with access to the Diamond website (i.e., access t0 the deals, coupons, etc.) during that time.

That sucks but I never really used it anyways. I cant picture somebody paying for it.

oh yeah

I have one of those don't I... well I never use the thing anyways so why would I want to pay $7 a year to have one?

Nobody will pay for it.

I, like you guys, only got one because it was free and I haven't even used it either. Would you even save $6 by using the card? I doubt it.

with everyone else

got one... don't use it. Most of the participating franchises aren't in my area. Won't be "subscribing"

It's like a saving card but it can only be used at a certain store, and restuarant.

Thank the lord

Oh thank the lord that I bought a PS3 and don't have to deal with my crappy 360 or Microsteal's fees anymore. Now, just gotta get me a Mac Mini and maybe a decent iBook G4 and i'll be free from all the crap this company makes. And to Mr. Gates, you can stick that Diamond card right up your ass you damn con artist. I hope you burn in hell for what you are doing (stealing millions when your already a multi billionaire).

I actually used it (once)

When the program first launched, I actually used it once. It was over at a Krispy Kreme and the employees had never seen it before. After a few minutes at the drive-thru, they got it cleared and I got my buy 1 dozen get 1 dozen glazed donuts free. My friends and I got 4 dozen glazed donuts. We only ate 1 box. Still through, good deal considering they had a preexisting offer where it was half off that stacked with the card. but yea, just that once

Justin Graziano is a fanboy loser.

I just like saying that.
