Xbox 360 - Image 1Xbox Live is coming to India. Microsoft's online service for its Xbox 360 home video game console will launch in the territory on November 5. Previous reports had the service's launch pegged for September.

PC gamers will also be welcomed into the online fold with Games for Windows Live. This was revealed during a Microsoft press event in New Delhi today. Microsoft India also announced that the Video Marketplace will be made available to Xbox 360 gamers in India soon, although a specific date has yet to be revealed.

Microsoft India has also joined with Indian company Seventymm to let gamers rent Xbox 360 games. Educational content will also be made available on Xbox Live. According to Angry Pixel, India will be the first country to see the release of what seem to be downloadable learning aids for children grades 1 to 12.
