Xbox 360That's right, the guys responsible for developing and updating the Xbox Dashboard want your feedback on how the software could be improved! User Experience Designer "Wildchicken" has put up a post on his blog encouraging to leave their comments and thoughts on a Dashboard interface rework. He states that the UX team will eventually review the suggestions and take them into consideration:

"Until I figure out how to put a permanent article for getting feedback on the Xbox 360 UX, I'm going to start by putting this blog entry in specifically for that. Feel free to leave comments, issues, suggestions, etc. Know that I or someone from the UX team will be reviewing them, if not necessarily commenting.

When we finally announce the details for the Fall update, I'll also discuss some of the more salient UX additions and improvements that we will have delivered."

So, start writing guys! We all know that the Dashboard so far is great, but what do you think should be included in an update? Leave your comments on Wildchicken's page and with a little luck, your wish will be fulfilled. Of course, we'll keep you up to date as more details on the Dashboard update emerge.

# Video Streaming, Web, User loaded backgrounds and iconsGuest 2006-09-08 09:48
I agree #1, streaming vids or just playing vids like divx in the media section of the dashboard is vital!

Also why is it so hard to let us upload pictures to the 360 HD for use in icons and backgrounds?

They say they are looking for user feedback, but its stupid as ever because they only choose to "listen" to the people who state things they were already going to do!

DIVX playback! WebBrowser! Homebrew! User BG's and Icons! 4 way video chat!

Whos joking around don't you morons know this is what everyone wants?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Gimmie now!

One thing, web browser. ps3 will have it. Come on man, you are microsoft in the next gen videogame war. That would put the 360 head to head with the ps3. if not , it would be a big step foward for microsoft in the videogame bussiness.

web browser is a grea idea. and same way we upload pics, we should upload videos from our computers of external HDD's and store them on the hard drive of the 360. rite?

# Video Streaming from WMP 11 beta 2Guest 2006-09-09 03:57
Your description of windows media player 11 says you can stream video and so far that is not true. Really you should get it working. There is no reason that customers should have to buy addtional software to get full functionality of your product. A short cut would be to give a licsensed copy of WMC to 360 owners so they can enjoy all the bells and whistles. I also think that a web browser would offer head to head compition and make the 360 worth every pennie. You decide.
