Xbox 360's Japanese Titles

Microsoft has been exerting all it's efforts to have Japan and its legions of gamers look its way. Who could forget the ad they have come up with, featuring the Japanese boyband Tokio, maybe to win over girl gamers (maybe even guys). But even these pretty boys has yet made any miracles for Microsoft and the Xbox 360.

Professional analysts like Michael Pachter and Ben Bajarin has commented that one great hurdle in Microsoft's way is the cultural difference, which they have to get over in order for Xbox 360 to make it in Japan. Currently, Xbox 360's market share is gasping for breath at one per cent. Fellow analyst, Mike Wolf says that "exclusive must haves" will be the Xbox 360's lifesaver.

I guess with the current state Microsoft is in right now at Japan, they are open to sound advice. As shown in this video more RPG games are slated for the Japanese market. Even sport-related games have two of Japan's favorite sports soccer and baseball. You'll also see familiar titles like Ridge Racer 6, Dead or Alive 4 and Ninety-Nine Nights.

# looks cool......Guest 2006-07-25 02:00
but then again I am european.

If you ask me they shouldn't mention anything about it been an advert for 360 until the very end. Then maybe the Japs will watch it instead of turning it straight over when they see the 360 logo. lol

# 360's rpgsGuest 2006-07-25 02:17
as a ps2 massive rpg lover none of those rpg games were attractive to me. if u ask a hardcore rpg gamer that used to play a lot of rpgs on ps2 maybe japanese gamers also they might tell u the same. there's ""something missing in those rpgs commin for the 360 that are shown in the video"" i mean take a long look at rpg titles for ps2 and check out the ones for 360. the difference u might forst see is graphics but there's something missing in the 360's rpg's although they have much more superior graphics compared to ps2's rpgs. but they're still not makin the impact becuz of that missin thing.

to understand missing thing look at rpgs like kingdom hearts or dark cloud or star ocean or even hack. they have some kind of appeal to them to rpg lovers that 360 rpg's dont seem to have well to me or to my friends that love rpgs.

Microsoft will never make it in Japan. NEVER. You fanboys could B**** about it all you want but the Japanese will never consider the 360 over the Playstation and Wii. The 360 sucks completely. Microsoft needs to forget about Japan and just F*** off.

# 360 in japan? ROFL!!!Guest 2006-07-25 10:39
Thats like trying to sell european cars in the US! No one in the US wants small compact gas efficient cars, everyone in America wants massive gas guzzling tanker SUVs. Its the same thing with trying to sell the 360 in japan. Everyone thier wants japanese made consoles with truely japanese games. The japanese don't want fake psuedo american RPGs with a fake anime mask to make it look japanese and all these pumped beefed up testosterone american action hero games. Most japanese gamers will look at a game like oblivion and puke becuase of its non-japaneseness.

I think that all the people who are going to buy a 360 have already done so. the rest of us are still waiting for ps3 or wii. 360 is just hitting 5 million world wide. maybe only 1000 in japan. and im pritty sure that they took it back to the store by now. if sony can put out 6 million units at launch they will pass microsoft with in the first 2-6 months.
