And what would our gaming week be without one of Microsoft's bold claims? Last week, Greenberg proclaimed the latest Xbox 360 models to be RROD-risk free.

This week, MS takes a swipe at Killzone 2 for the PS3, saying that they have something better than that. More exciting game infos and teasers are up in store for us in this weekly recap. First up: Gaming News, and then the Industry, in their own nutshells.

Gaming News
  • Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion producer, Katsuhiro Harada, is full of high hopes for the Xbox 360, saying the game will definitely push the console's power to the limits, which in turn will only benefit the console with improvements. Link
  • BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams is on the move, stealth style, with this teaser site that surfaced on the Intarwebs a couple of days ago. Link
  • Street Fighter II HD Remix is finally getting rid of those annoying bugs that's been pestering your gameplay! Time to roll out the terminators! Link
  • Everyone's been waiting for this - yes, even those who are not Xbox 360 owners - and finally it's coming! Yes! Bethesda has finally given the green light on when The Pitt DLC is arriving for Fallout 3. Link

Industry news
  • The biggest newsmaker from Microsoft this week, as mentioned above, is their rather bold claim, care of an anonymous rep, regarding Killzone 2 - and how they have something better than it. Link
  • Future RROD'd Xbox 360 owners beware: you might have to provide for your own packaging box to ship your afflicted console to Microsoft's repair center. Link
  • The XBL Gold Membership's been discounted - but only for a limited time. Hurry! Link

Obviously, what takes the cake is Microsoft's claim on that "something better than Killzone 2".Personally, I find it highly curious how they can top K2. I have yet to pick it up, I admit, but from what I've seen thus far, it really is impressive.

And like what Isaac said, it would sure be interesting to see how MS is gonna pull off a game like K2, and even better than it, given the established fact that the Xbox 360 has more limitations compared to the PS3.

It would definitely be awesome if they put out something that could rival K2. While there are definitely a lot of credible titles out on the Xbox 360 now (and still more to come), the last title that I really, really, really got hyped up about would be Halo 3.

Time to roll out a new poster boy, Xbox 360.

Can't wait.

I have Killzone 2 and am enjoying it, but it's nothing amazing. Impressive technically for sure, but doesn't have the fun factor of some games. I still prefer Gears and Halo to it, because to me they're more fun. So it depends who you ask, IMO MS already has something better in Halo and Gears. But key word there (or acronym), IMO. Some people don't like those games so to them Killzone 2 is the best shooter currently.

I'd say Killzone 1 was a 7/10 and Killzone 2 is an 8.5 or 9/10. So great improvement, but not up there with the best shooters

But really the only thing that holds it back is that aim delay people have been complaining about. It really detracts from the fun, Guerilla can try to justify it as being "weighty" and "more realistic" all they want, but bottom line is it's not fun, and the game would've been better without it, period.
