Xbox 360 Weekend Warrior: Of the rumor that just won't die, rumors on delays, rumors on releases, and game predictions based on music |
Ó
While last week we had a bevy of assets to further tease our gaming taste buds, this week we had a whole lot of rumors pertaining to game releases, and new technology for the Xbox 360. And they're not the type that you can just ignore either.
They're very intriguing, say for example the resurrected (yet again) rumor on the motion-sensing controller for the console -- which detects not just measly waggle controllers, but YOUR WHOLE BODY movement!
Or how about that new DLC for Fallout 3, or the delay in Batman's trip to Q4? It's all here, no need to look anywhere else. This was the week that ended April, so see if the month wound down with a bang.
Games:
- Who said Commander Shepard was killed in Mass Effect 2? Tssss... so not true, said BioWare. And they're promising more big stuff at E3. Link
- Star Ocean: The Last Hope gets a release date for Europe and PAL territories. Link
- Tekken 6 will have console-specific features. Find out what's in store for the Xbox 360 one. Link
- Magna Carta 2 announced for the Xbox 360 later this year. Link
- Capcom's planning it, and we hope they push through: downloadable Lost Planet 2 demo at E3. Link
- Booyeah! Multiplayer for Dead Rising 2 is confirmed! Link
- Tales of Vesperia Special Edition Soundtrack finally comes out Link

- Microsoft grows a heart: refunds overpriced Braid theme Link
- Street Fighter IV Power Up Pack lands on XBL Link
Rumors:
- This rumor just won't die. Yet another inside source came out to claim that there is a motion-sensing controller in the works for the Xbox 360. Coming in handy to prove doubters wrong, the source of the rumor was even armed with a features list and a picture of the said technology. Link
- Even before Broken Steel settles in, Fallout 3 is rumored to have DLC #4, entitled "Point Look". Link What's sure is that it already got title update 1.5. Link
- Batman: Arkham Asylum rumored to have been pushed to Q4 of 2009, instead of June release. Link
- Call of Duty 7 is headed to Vietnam and other locales. This is what the rumor said, and it was based on the fact that Activision "was looking into music to license" from the Vietnam War era. Link
- Is Gunstar Heroes coming to the XBLA? That's the buzz. Link
Industry:
- It's on: Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony all geared up for E3 Link
- Microsoft Europe marketing boss wants publishers to lessen focus on Q4 and Christmas releases. What does he want then? Link
That's for the final week of April. We're sure the first week of May will just be as jampacked. Do join us again next week for another iteration of the Xbox 360 Weekend Warrior. Keep jumpin' it up!
