Xbox 360 Weekend Warrior: Banninations, dumb-o-nations, DLCs |
Ó
Microsoft's gotten itself into another noisy controversy the past week. They've taken quite a beating, with devs calling them a "dumb PC", and activists hounding them for once again banning an XBL user for identifying in her profile information that she's a lesbian.
To say that the Xbox 360 blog's week was "interesting" is a grave understatement. Let's get this green carpet rolling, then! We present you the biggest Xbox 360 news this week!

- XBL: verb. X Ban Lesbians (Don't Ban Lesbians)
That was quite a week for Microsoft, wasn't it? Pretty deep, hot water they got themselves into with that XBL issue. Thank goodness they're finally addressing it. Hopefully everything works out fine in the community. I guess the lesson that can be picked up from all that is to keep in mind that we're all different from each other. We have different preferences, we make different choices, we have different levels of tolerance, some being more understanding and accepting than others.
With this in mind, I guess we also just have to be particularly careful about the sensitivities of other people, especially since - as said above - we will not all agree on one thing. So let's just be careful about pricking each others' territorial bubble. At the same time, let's not make rash judgments on persons since there's certainly more to them than just their Gamertags or profile details.
We just all want to have fun on the XBL after all.
Anyway.
Enough of the preachy mode. We've got more news in store for you this coming week on the Xbox 360, so just keep it here with us. Keep jumpin' with QuickJump!
