Microsoft has released a new Windows XP theme through the WinDock WindowBlinds website. Used in the past by Nintendo to promote games like Super Mario Sunshine, it's now being used by Microsoft to promote the Xbox 360. So if you're just so in love with your Xbox 360 and want to wear your heart on your sleeve, this theme might just be for you!

Windows Blinds is some buggy sotware and it sucks memory like crazy. I had it and it slowed down my comp. big time. I had to go to safe mode it get rid of it. So downloader beware!

I'd only get it if it was downloaded in plain VS form.

Actually it's Stardock, not Windock. I've been using this theme for quite a while now, it's great. At least on my computer windowblinds uses only few megabytes of ram. So buy another 1mb to your 486 and stop whining.

"Who has 486 MB or RAM? And how can you add 1 MB to it when they don't sell 1 MB sticks, and haven't since the 90's?" I love how you refer to the 90's like it was soooooooo long ago

# NOT Made by MSGuest 2006-04-19 13:11
486 doesn't refer to MB of Ram ;-).

Also, Microsoft did not make this, contrary to what the article misleads you to believe. It was made by Stardock, itself, without an affiliation with Microsoft.

"The WindowBlinds theme was created for Stardock Media by Tim (Essorant) Dagger and the IconPackage by Ian (Voodoo_Freak) Black."

I use Windowblinds and it works very well. However, it is best to set the settings to optimize for performance, for example to exclude programs that are graphics-intensive or whatnot.
