So folks, here it is. As expected, Microsoft has unveiled the slimmed down version of the Xbox 360 during its pre-E3 Xbox Media Event in Los Angeles.
Officially called the Xbox 360 250GB Elite Console, the whisper-quiet hardware is back in a sleek black finish with a more leaner design, comes with an internal removable 250GB hard drive, built-in wifi (802.11N) and supports the company's upcoming motion-sensing device, Kinect. It will be available starting this week for US$ 299.

If you ask me I think it looks horrible. The original 360 is still better.
I never understand why they have to have those shiny black plates. Those scratch so easy and imprints fingerprints easily. My PS3 gets scratched every time I put it in a bag.

I can see fingerprints will become a pain in the ass on this thing!
Although it's about time they had wi-fi built in. Only took them, what, 3 and a half years longer than Sony to add built-in wi-fi.

The hardware issues of overheating have been pretty much non-existant since the falcon board.
The DVD drive hasnt been scratching discs for years now, but if you're moving a disc reader while the disc is spinning, you deserve whatever you get anyway and I'd be glad if it just destroyed the disc and printed a big, 'You're a fucking asshat' on the screen.
Also, PS3 doesn't even have access to wireless N yet in any form. Not even as some kind of addon peripheral.
PS3 wifi is nice for simple shit, but anyone who tries to seriously game on wireless G needs to get out off my lawn. Those losers always lag up SSFIV matches and shit.
Also, who said this was a slim? The official name says nothing about it being a slim. Does the ad call it a slim? People are stupid.
My only complaint will be that it'll probably still only support the proprietary HDD, on the other hand, a 250g is big enough for anyone but your stupidest whores so it isn't exactly necessary to expand.
