Xbox 360 slim getting "unprecedented demand" |

Microsoft is claiming that their new Xbox 360 Slim is getting some "unprecedent demand." It's not all that hard to believe considering that merely hours after if it was officially unveiled, it was already reigning on the top of the Amazon's pre-order list.
In a statement released by the company, they happily reported that "...we are hearing great feedback from retailers that the new Xbox 360 250GB is experiencing unprecedented demand."
They also said that based on internal data, "Strong demand for the new Xbox 360 250GB combined with a US$ 50 price redution in the U.S. on the Xbox 360 Arcade and Elite consoles, now US$ 149.99 and US$ 249.99 respectively, has resulted in a significant salse spike for Xbox 360 since the new console hit shelves on or around June 14."
Following the lackluster numbers that reflected on the May results of NPD, we reckon that Microsoft is hoping the statistics will be much better for this month of June.

God dam it M$ for once make a system that actually works........wonder how many millions of xbox owners will get your save files have been corrupted message due to auto power shutdown.....even worse if it corrupts the whole hard drive with just over 60 gamesaves and movies stored in the hard drive.......
instead of fixing the problem M$ sure know how to add to the screwing up their reputation of they just can't get it right......

But hey, in the end i wouldn't buy one, too much pride lols, still havent gotten a ps3 either tho, ff13versus will prob sway me on that front :)

In the end, if you already do have an xbox, then great... keep it... no need to upgrade unless you have a launch console. If you don't, then this is a great time to get one.

not that it matters but whats the psone got to do with it? the ps2 was black and out before the original xbox.

you just don't get it do ya........having auto shut down does not add to the quality of gaming........open your eyes man do the PS3 or Wii have this problem, does iphone, ipad, psp, ds i/ll/ anything else have this problem......no it just works PERIOD.....
you shouldn't have to worry about this at all 5 years into the 360 lifespan and the x360
what kind of hardcore gamer would appreciate their system shutting down on them during a boss fight,or with a killing streak on MW2 and shuts down on ya without saving as some games needs save points......it will be a mess.
and i wonder why I only have a Wii and a PS3

the Sony slaves are too busy licking the stitches from their nuts being removed on a regular basis.
If Sony ever does something right, they'll set it up on their desk and take a dump on it.
The PS3 has potential, but Sony screwed that over.
Sony slaves see something on qj being more successful than their system of choice, so they have to troll it. Get a life.
Take a look at the new 360 again. take a good look at it. draw a smiley face on it, and that looks exactly like what Sony's tombstone should look like.
or... better yet... take a red ringed 360, that might as well be the PS3's tombstone.
and a DS lite should be the PSP's tombstone. They only thing that makes the PSP good is CFW.
