Xbox 330 Wireless steering wheel - Image 1Avid Xbox 360 racers may remember Microsoft offering free retrofits to owners of the Xbox 360 Wireless Wheel, after a few reported incidents of the wheel dangerously overheating and emitting smoke last August. Just when we thought that all's well and done, Microsoft just recently released another statement through Xbox Live which reiterated the "potential safety issues" associated with the Wireless Wheel.

Microsoft's statement sparked rumors and speculation that the overheating wheel problem may be more serious than what people currently think. But Microsoft was quick to point out that the announcement was just a follow-up, in an attempt to notify all users of the Wireless Wheel.

The software and gaming mogul also said that they only received reports of 70 instances, out of 230,000 Wireless Wheel units that were distributed.

Why is it that whatever microsoft makes has problems... Be it windows or a console... now even a racing wheel... Microsoft really needs to spend a little time testing products... It would be for the best... And the whole red ring of death occurences coulf of been avoided and now this... I don't hate microsoft... But it's things like this that make u understand why so many people do...
