To those who are still in the dark, the personal gamer picture is a new feature with the Xbox 360 Spring Update. You don't need the Xbox Live Vision camera to get this nifty picture. In fact, you can get a new image now. It's that easy. Personal gamer pictures will only be seen by people on your friends list (such a lucky bunch!). The not-so-special ones see your public picture.
The Xbox Live Vision camera can be used to take your own photo, which again, only the chosen ones will be able to see. Slated for a Fall 2006 release, the camera is being tested by the Xbox Team. So there's a chance you'd see personal pictures of Xbox Team members. Seems they're having a fun time with the new feature.

I dont want other peeps picture to choose from i want to put
up my own.
This report has no info whatsoever.
Why would i want the stuff ms has put up, give me an option
to put my own stuff up, there taste is not my taste as far
as pictures and themes go.
it says that you will be able to take your pic with the cam but only the ppl in your friend list will be able to see that pic, other live users will see the normal avarta (the reason why is b/c some ppl might take a pic of there wii and post it for everybody to see, and thats a no no).
well this article says that we have the ability to use a personal gamer pic w/o having the camera, but they dont say how. show some proof at least. i consider it a load of BS til they show us how to do it.

um.. just go into your profile and above where you choose your gamer picture there is the personal picture... mabye YOU should find your own proof which happens to be sitting right there on your 360...
They are sayint eh personal picture function is there already for you to check out.. same with the vision menus.. they are all ready for teh camera and if you had a cam now you'd be all set and wouldn't have to wait for some crazy update when the cam releases.
