Xbox 360 mod - Image 1

Fancy taking your Xbox 360 for a ride? Well, it's more possible now with a mod like this. Given you have a power outlet to plug into, of course. Here we have an Xbox 360 mod that's got a built-in 7" LCD screen on the side of the console and USB speakers. Heck, it's even got a Halo 3 logo.

It's not as portable as Ben Heckendorn's Xbox 360 Laptop mod, but it's still mobile enough. You can check out a video of the console as it runs via the source link below.

Thanks to stagueve for the heads up!

» LAME!

Who would really play on a tiny little screen like that?

Ben Heck's laptop is better for portal but... it's ALWAYS to big for portable anyway.

And I can't say my couch/yamaha surround 5.1/big TV/friends/confort of my home, etc, can't be beaten, and especially not by a 7" screen... I think it's lame. Buy a PSP or a DS if you wanna go portable! (great games on both) and play home consoles at home, that's it.

» old old old

I think this is the same guy from Xbox-Scene and he did the screen in the case like that about 2 years ago.

» These mods...

Are usually not done for practability, but just as a proof of concept or to see if it can be done...

I made this about a yr ago. did it to see if it was possible. not to actually use it. since i started this the screen is now powered internally. speaker are now internal. It was just something to try. and yes It comes in very handy when I'm on the road working and want to play. I don't have to depend on having a tv handy to play games. most ds and psp systems are played at home. just because a system is portable doesn't mean it's only played while walking around somewhere.
