If you're still not over about Microsoft's move on coming up with a new SKU for Xbox 360, we have a simple and direct advice for you: simply get over it, embrace the change, and "jump in." The new SKU is quite aptly called Xbox 360 Elite and even this early, the demand for the monster of a console is growing.As a matter of fact, a handful of retailers are already accepting pre-orders for the said SKU. For the early birds in the U.S., fans can just go with Circuit City as no other retailer, we believe, have began accommodating early adopters. The deal will cost US$ 479.99.
If you happen to be living in Canada then lucky you as you have more options. Your Best Buy are also accepting pre-orders for CA$ 549.99 or just around US$ 5 higher than that of the U.S. Online retailer Future Shop, likewise, is also offering pre-orders for the same price. The estimated time of arrival of Xbox 360 Elite is on May 4.
We had a report yesterday on the possibility of having a motion-sensing controller for Xbox 360 and Microsoft said that it will wait and see if demands pick up.

hey i am beginning to wonder if MS is ever going to run its video marketplace in Canada. Does anyone know? If they are not why would we need a 120 gig drive?

Anyways, of course Best Buy (CA) and Future Shop have the price the same - they're the same store with different color schemes.
So what's the point of the Elite? I have about 11 gigs left from my 20 gigs I see it's cause it's black and the hdmi who cares mehhh.

Now you get spend even more, for what? Built-in HiDef drive, right? Oh no that's right, sorry. Ah Built-in wifi, that should be easy to do! Oh no, that's right, sorry. You got a new processor then right? Oh sorry, not that either.
Hmmmm what do you get? Oh! It's black again! Yea like the first xbox. And they fix the fan noise and overheating! (they did fix it, right?) WOW! thats great. Oh and you get HDMI connector, but since you can't play games on the HD-DVD drive, at 1080p, that will come in handy!
Makes sense to me! Perfect common sense!
Oh, and if anyone wants to buy a used slightly bricked xbox 360 I have one for sale. You could take the white faceplate and put it on the elite.
*****ing moron, just because you can't play games on the HD-DVD doesn't mean their won't be games at 1080p.
Actually the 360 already has two native 1080p games. Virtua Tennis 3 and NBA Street Homecourt. They have better online functionality and graphics than the PS3 versions on top of it.
