It plugs into your controller seamlessly and sports a backlight if you like to play The Darkness with the lights off. Opinions are varied on the Chatpad. But why grab one if a headset would do fine? You could even use a regular USB keyboard, too, but then something that plugs directly to an Xbox 360 controller may suit you better.

I've been wanting this ever since I seen it. Although, a 19.99 and not a 29.99 price tag would be better for the keypad. Considering it's a piece of hardware that the most hardcore of us would use it occasionally at best.
Does this come in black? Don't tell me they're gonna shaft all the owners of the highest end system. Obviously we don't want a white chatpad on a black controller
Do people not understand that there is actual stuff _inside_ that? $19.99 ? For a headset, keyboard, connectors, LEDs, construction and development?
Hell, why not moan it's not $9.99. Is that extra $10 really going to break to break the bank? It's the cost of about 1 small lunch over here.
If you're not going to use it much then don't get it. If you are going to use it then realise it's worth and pony up the extra $10.
Let me get this straight... you can plug a usb keyboard into the 360 and that works?
If that's true I wish I knew earlier.
I have an elite too and I recently painted my HD-DVD matte black to match it.
Its true, I've been using one on my 360 for over a year now as i used to play ff online and you needed one for that.
Just a case of whatever works best for ya
