Xbox 360 and Original Xbox Controller Joystick Swap

Steward Bradford has taken two great powers, the original Xbox controller and the Xbox 360 controller, and combined their awesomeness to make two different mutant offspring. Steward has posted a guide on how to change the two controllers joysticks so you can use your original joysticks if, like me, you were one of the three people that actually loved the original monster controller Microsoft released at their first console launch and wanted to relive those great memories.

lol, actually i wouldnt mind if i could tweak my controller, like tighten the spring that makes the joystick stay straight so its harder to move. So then i could be more precise where i aim it, because my controller's joysticks are abnormally loose from so much usage.

The analog sticks on the 360 are a tad shorter... I used to accidently push them in while I was circle strafing... but it's nothing I haven't gotten used to. Cool idea though.

It will cause you to not move the sticks 100% in certain directions, and only allowing you to move say 80-90% of the distance.



This will make you turn, and move slower than you should be. again DO NOT DO THIS

Llamma.com pointed out the swapability of the thumbsticks before the 360 even made it to America. This is not a new idea by any stretch.

#4: It works just fine. You have to sand the base of the thumbsticks down so they are the same shape and size as the ones you are trying to replace. For a round hole, use a round peg. You just have to have more advanced tool skills than mearly click and *****. Next time please try phrasing things like 'I did not get the desired results' instead of 'DO NOT DO THIS IT DOESN"T WORK'.

this idea is hell cool anyways.. i thoroughly enjoyed the larger controllers cause they were original and very american! reminds me of the hummer in some ways! Big and Powerfull... also its triggers were better because the s controller had sensitive triggers which sucked balls...



and yeah why ruin the x360 controller leave it as it is... and if the thumbstick is to sensitive cant you change it?
