Xbox 360's 120GB hard drive - Image 1The new and spacious 120GB Xbox 360 hard drive is locked and loaded in Japan, but before you go out and buy it, we have some reminders that you may find valuable.

The new 120GB Xbox 360hard drive is apparently loaded with some restrictions. The biggest of which is the fact that you cannot combine data from two of the old 20GB HDDs in the new one. That means if you've been storing game data and related stuff in one HDD and used another one to store movies, you'll have to choose which set of files to place in the new drive. Attempting to house both sets will result in only the latter ones being saved.

The other issue is that files from the smaller drives can be transferred to the bigger one, but there's no turning back. The 120GB Xbox 360 new drive won't allow transfer from the 120GB HDD to the 20GB HDD.

This may irk some users who followed Microsoft's suggestion that gamers can buy two HDDs to house their data separately. Whether adjustments will be made when the accessory hits American shores is yet to be seen.

» Better than PS3

More fun than those 20 gig PS3 owners who have been dumped and left out in the cold though er.

» Eh?

Yes they are obviously so left out in the cold that SONY thought it would be a good idea to lauch them in the UK in October after high demand.

» hey dik wad

who is left out in the cold you can buy any 2.5inch sata hard drive and install it into a ps3... can you do that to your 360 without hacking it apart

the answer is no. how does it feel to be out in the cold ms ass muncher

» damn

this is so retarded at least with my ps3 if i wanted to upgrade (i think 60gb is big enough), i could copy EVERYTHING via the backup utility on an external flash drive. I would probably get this 120gb, but M$ is so retarded

» Just get a PS3

That Elite 360 is not worth it, just get a ps3 and watch Blu-ray movies til SONY gets those AAA titles- Trust me!!

by OnlyME - 2007-03-29 03:56
» Rubbish, it's a games console FIRST.

Gamers waiting for AAA titles on the PS3 are better off waiting before buying a PS3, especially when there's the chance of a price cut or better value bundles.

IMO, the Elite is worth it.

PS and MS fanboys aside

only way elite would be worth it is if you are buying one for the 1st time

I do not get the mud throwing back and forth I have all systems

play all 3 for different reasons

either case my 20 gig is basically empty have no use for a bigger one .. my 60 ps3 same way

hmmm wii lol my what 512mg is pretty empty also

not sure what people need with a bunch of demos and trailers ...overpriced old games etc that would fill these up

now my xbox's and my ps2 hds are full as ***** but I hate using damn dvds rather have the games one the hd
