X06 - Gears Of War screenshots and co-op mode confirmed!

While co-operative play has been underrated for as long as I can remember, I feel that it's one of those things which can clinch a deal when you're out shopping and confused between two games. I mean, there's no other feeling like getting together with your friend and beating the living daylights out of a computer AI.

And Gears of War has been one of those games which has just about everything. Awesome graphics: Check! Great gameplay: Check! Nice storyline: Check! In all seriousness, Gears of War hype would probably be on par with Halo 3. And why not? I've seen gamers buying the console just so they can play GoW when it comes out. And apart from these new screenshots, it's also been confirmed that it will be getting full co-op gameplay! One of the guys from RewiredMind.com was able to get in a word with Cliffy B. who confirmed the fact. And besides, it's not just some missions in between where they've tacked it in. The full game can be played in co-op mode along with your buddies!

Now I don't know about you guys, but I'm foaming at the mouth in anticipation of this kickass game! Heck, I can probably say the same about a few of my colleagues here at QJ too. I'm afraid this game will just become another thing for Halo Fanboys to obsess over. I mean, Halo sucked, and for some reason all these tools parade around talking about how Halo rocks so much. The graphics were horrible, and the gameplay was stupid. But then again, what can you expect from a bunch of losers who have assramming parties in the basements of their parents houses.

I agree with the halo basher. I can't stand halo and its unoriginality - I hate how every game (even non fps) seem to be compared with it - especialy sci-fy games. Hlao brings nothing new but hype.

Gears of war does look like it will be obsessed over, but atleast it looks original in some aspects. I know I will be getting gears of war but I hope it isnt over-rated

The poor sony-fanboys, because they are stuck with nearly no good fps, or the game is not in their system, they have to come here to bash Halo (the holy thorn on sony's side) and now GOW. If you got nothing good to say, go to your altars to continue deifying sony, and let the millions of players who love Halo, and GOW enjoy the games!

Your stupid if you think halos success was due to hype. How can i game survive so many years over hype. If a title is overhyped and turns out to be crap people lose interest but halo is still going strong. I doubt youve even played halo and even if you have thats still no reason to hate it just because you dont like it, you see people have something we like to call an opinion and if you dont agree then go find someone who cares.

I've played both Halos, even own them both, and no, they aren't all that good. Certaintly not the best game in the world like so many people hype it to be...

And yes, games can live on hype alone. It ties into people's need to belong. It's called bandwagoning and you see it all the time in life, mostly in sports.

Halo is not different. It's not a revolutionary game in any way at all, and is merely average. But the voice of people who - as was put before - deify it reached a larger audience than people who saw it for what it was.

Sony fans are jealous! Why can't you just stfu? You don't see any Xbox fans here ramming MGS or FF.

Hell, you probably can't even come up with any decent argument as to why Halo sucks (because you probably have never played it) Some parts of Halo may be unoriginal, yes, but Halo has one of the best stories in any videogame, and the people who say the Halo story sucks don't know the Halo story. Halo 2 still has some of the best multiplayer gaming to be found.

Stop being poor and get BOTH consoles, then you can experience Halo AND GoW AND all your precious PS3 games (which, IMO, half of them aren't good/ don't look good. MotorStorm? Bleh. Warhawk? No thanks. You see? Everyone has opinions, Halo does not suck just because you say so)

Resistance Fall of Man is going to destroy this game on so many levels it's not even funny.

HAHAHA! Resistance: Fall of Men with mosnters that inspire laugh, they look like third rate monsters taken from a bad B-movie. The enemies in GOW really look scary. In terms of graphic design GOW obliterates Resistance in every way possible. Poor Sony is investing millions to get a decent fps to compete with Halo or GOW.

GOW looks good but please spare me the bull***** halo sucks it brought nothing to the table and you cant prove me wrong either 007 goldeneye still beats the ***** out of halo any day. The only reason halo survived was becuase of the storyline not the game play and second it was the only decent launch title for the xbox thats why it took off so please spare me the drama look at how lack luster halo 2 but theres nothing to hold on to after halo's gone and we all know its true to some extent, but at leas MS is trying to get excluisve. Third MS will never gain dominance becuase they dont have the jap market and most of you idiots cant see that clearly for a console to win it has to dominate all market . The 360 is an excellent console and i bought it for FPS reasons.

I will definitely resist that game. It is almost impossible to die in that game. I saw every video and the user hardly took any damage while that character was getting hit.

And the AI is terrible.

If the game is not fix, PS 3 hype will die real quick until MSG4 and FF.

It is an average game if that game was on the 360, it would have recieved some hype, but after reviews come it would just be another poor FPS on the 360.

FPS's on the xbox is like RPG's on the ps some are bad, some are good, and some are great.

Please #11 that was very iggnorant of you to say that. How the hell is Resistance going to beat GoW? GoW graphically is so much better, AI? Also much better, GamePlay, also better.

You're now asking yourself "Why is the gameplay better?" Well lets see, Resistance is ANOTHER FPS run and gun with freaking cheesy monsters that don't remotley look freaky. GoW is a Third Person stop and pop not much of them and GoW did a damn good job implementing it.

Go ahead and watch the new cinematic at IGN (pure In game graphics) And completley beautiful, Resistance doesn't come damn near close to GoW. Please spare us the Resistance card cause even Sony Boys know its a P.o.S and everyone is trying to hype a Launch title for Sony. I'll say it one more time for the Sony Boys, Resistance is a joke honestly sorry to say it but it is, the ONLY thing that is decent is 40 online that's it.

You know what is going to happen when lets say i.e Gamespot will review Resistance? They are going to give it a terrible rating cause they have played every FPS out there and they are going to realize its the same old run and gun bring nothing to the table game. Sorry kids that's it.
