Okay, obviously Target takes great care to ensure that the products it sells (in-store or online) are in good working order. So most likely, this was a goof by someone who didn't know how to read the Ring of Light. But, one of our writers just had to laugh: "Cash on Delivery; Brick on Arrival. That explains the low, low price!" All joking aside, though, if you do see the ominous Ring of Death on your Xbox 360, we do have a number of articles here that's all about calming your fears and easing your worries. There's one that's all about interpreting the different Rings of Death (exactly what those pretty red lights mean). We also have another one that offers a DIY quick-fix to the problem.

Now that looks like a great deal. It's the limited edition Traget 360, with power failure at no additional cost.
This is insane, this story has been posted across the internet and while it is silly, I havn't seen a single correct source, 4 red lights means NO AV CABLE PLUGGED IN, not "death", not "bricked".
eh?.. it maybe just the target people thinkin it might be good to have the target logo there.
Is right. It just changes to all 4 red when no AV cable is plugged in, just like the reg Xbox changed colors with no AV cables plugged in either. THE RING OF DEATH IS 3, READ THAT AGAIN, **3** RED LIGHTS. NOT 4.
They just took photos of it without it having its AV cables hooked up. Nothing more. Nothing less. This isn't funny, ironic, stupid, hilarious, or anything other than "Yes - this is what the console is SUPPOSED to do". Lame.
na its the dogs target eye logo or the target dog is bricked? who knows....
