When nice plasmids turn bad: Bioshock demo glitch video

For those of us still traipsing around Rapture and seeing just how much tomfoolery we can inflict on it and its crazed inhabitants, here's something you might want to try out for kicks and giggles: a discovered Bioshock (Xbox 360, PC) demo glitch that lets you literally jump through the ceiling and walk around underwater - without that annoying allergic reaction of instant death that's usually associated with such acts, in-game or in real life.

Don't believe us? Take a gander at this gameplay video, then!

As you can see, the glitch itself seems to involve a certain crib you get a certain firearm in, using the Electro Bolt Plasmid, and jumping up. We're not too sure ourselves if these elements are necessary to create the glitch, or even if you do have to shock that Splicer down at the lower floor, but it's pretty clear that this one is certainly physics-defying (even for Bioshock).

Try it out for yourselves, see if you can replicate it. Enjoy the video!

» to Spectre

if your going to get an elite make sure you have the right tv for it hearing and all that it has HDMI XD

by Shatterdome - 2007-08-16 08:56
» Lot of people do...

Plus you have alot more then one game to choose from when you buy a 360.....unlike other console...ahem

Anyways, WTF is up with games being made with unreal engine and the ability to "fall" through the level.....seriously epic, get on that *****....every game i've seen with unreal engine has some glitch like this in it....

by Shatterdome - 2007-08-16 08:59
» Well...

Sell your POS3 and get with a console that has some real good games. Stranglehold outdoes drakes fortune...and HS is just a button mashing adventure game. Both offer no good multiplayer replay value....get this and Halo 3 and you are set for a LOONG time.

Also to the dude below "darkninja" The Elite comes with everything the premium does PLUS HDMI, and an HDMI cable.....so you can still you AV, Component or HDMI.....

» ummmmm

im sure the people who want a 360 for halo3 already bought one for gears of war. stranglehold outdoes drakes fortune. too bad ps3 has stranglehold too. i dont care for it even if it contains the bluray of hard boiled.

» wow?

"how do people find these things? do they just having nothing better to do?"

If these people have nothing better to do, why are you bothering posting here? Don't you have anything else to do?

» Here we go again...

"Sell your POS3 and get with a console that has some real good games."

At first you fail; the PS3 has only been out for 10 months or less and like the xbox, it didn't really have any good games in the beginning. In fact it only started to rise when Epic released Gears of War.

"Stranglehold outdoes drakes fortune..."

Yet, this is only based on your point of view from the trailers and demo that has been released, besides it's the full version isn't out yet and further more it's also being released on the PS3 if you bothered reading the news.

"HS is just a button mashing adventure game."

Again, not a proper statement, since you've only tried the demo and not the full game (or maybe you don't own a PS3)

"Both offer no good multiplayer replay value....get this and Halo 3 and you are set for a LOONG time."

And yet another comment where you post nothing usefull; you haven't played the multiplayer modes on these games!

Though the first Halo was fantastic, the second one was dissapointing to me because of the linear single player campaign. However i can assure you that the multiplayer mode is an intense experience that has satisfied me for a long time and which was the reason why i got an original xbox.

I will however wait and see if Microsoft could actually do something about the rings of death problem, because frankly i'm not going to spend time in order to get it repared.
