Blue Dragon

In the epic world of RPGs, Mistwalker is making an impression with their new game for the Xbox 360. The simple fact that the pre-orders for this game sold hotter (and faster) than the PS3 pre-order pancakes is enough evidence that the 360 has a solid following in Japan.

Anyway, Blue Dragon has us by the scruff of our necks with its overall gaming appeal. We've got a mother-load of pics below, most of which focus on the battle. Colorful lights, massive creatures, smooth graphics... Eye-candy alone, this game is as stunning as seeing a pink elephant fall from the sky (err... whaaa?!).

While all this time, lots of kids out there are afraid of their own shadow, here, your main character and his friends actually use their shadows to call on different familiars to help them on their journeys. For party leader Shu, it's a blue dragon; hence, the title.

» Allready loving this game.

Ok. I confess. I am a Hironobu Sakaguchi fanboy.

I have seen the short clip from where these screens are taken from. I think I have seen it 10 times. The music is fantastic, the animations are wonderful. It looks like this game has a lot of potential.

I am sure it will be a very good game. Why? Well:

Hironobu Sakagushi

Akira Toriyama

Nobuo Uematsu

When will we see Blue Dragon in Europe you think? 2009?
