Ó
Square Enix has released a new international trailer for Final Fantasy XIII. This one's got English voice acting set against that Leona Lewis song "My Hands". Oh, and drama. Lots of drama. If action's what you're looking for better skip to the 2:39 mark.
Final Fantasy XIII is set for a March 9 release on PS3 and Xbox 360.

About the song...
Well... Its not a bad song but its not what you expect to be in a FF-game.. I dont think R&B and final fantasy is a good combination.

I hope this game doesn't disappoint like that Hong Kong magazine says it will.

They show some battles with the battle menu and all. Are you telling me that its not in game graphics? And I do belive that most of the scenes shown in the trailer are ordinary cutscenes and not prerendered CGI sequences.
The game really has amazing graphics.
Thats jusst plain fact

I'm anticipating FF XIII Versus sooo much more than this.

The ingame graphics are about right out of my memory, and despite all the hate and varied scores, so far I've enjoyed every moment.

Come one, ever since FF8 they have had the worst songs ever.
FF8 - eyes on me? poorly translated and wholly unimaginative
FF10 - Death Metal for zanarkan, really? that was any better?
FF12 - no memoral music, story, characters
FF13 is them trying to go back to what made ff7 popular, a heart wrenching story of epic proportions. Aerith dieing and her song were the impetus that pushed FF7 apart from all other rpg of that time.
So naturally they are trying to do the same thing and not make the same mistakes as FF12 where the story is so bad not only was it hard to follow but almost no one felt attached to any character. I mean Van could have died in the ending CG and most people would be like "meh", a french girl/boy wanting to be a sky pirate

And in ffx we also have Suteki da ne.. which is more like the main song.
All those songs before FFXII are built on melodical themes which is used in various other songs. And it goes very good togheter with the games and its story.
Eyes on me: Love grows, Julias theme, my mind and maby more...
Melodies of life: over the hills, song of memories and more.
suteki da ne: A dream will end sometime, Braska's Daughter, Yuna's Theme, Ending theme, Believe and more..
I dont think this could be done with this
new main song. It doesnt hold a theme that is strong enough.

Have to say it really was such a bad decision to get a decidedly average artist with a boring and pointless song as the main theme! Especially when square has such a good record of original music in FF series/Chrono series/SOM series! Surely they could have just given us the japanese song, even that (not able to understand the lyrics) was more emotional/better fitted to the game than Leona's POS effort!

And I don't even mind the linearity; FF8-10 were just that and 9's my fave (8 & ten are Top 5's). I can't wait(It'll be Spring Break here when the game comes out, too!

The music have never been the same since Nobuo Uematsu left Square Enix.
Its jusst not the same anymore. But this game have better music than Final fantasy 12.
What would zelda be without Koji Kondo? Thats right! Put some R&B in the hyrule fields! Its the same thing! Almost
But I heard that old Noobie Uematsu is going to do the music for Final Fantasy 14! Yaaay! Welcome back!
