Microsoft does realize that there are existing Xbox 360 owners who may want to trade up to the Xbox 360 Elite - and the only thing really getting in their way is their gaming legacy squared away in their 20GB HDDs. They tell Kotaku that they will offer a free hard drive transfer kit "through (Microsoft's) site or customer service." But when they say "data migration" they mean it: cross the border and you ain't going back (without some major issues). You see (and we quote Kotaku)...
If you do plan to do the transfer keep in mind that:
- Content can only be moved from the smaller drive to the larger one.
- You can only do the transfer once.
- Any content currently on the larger hard drive will be erased during the transfer
- You have to re-download Arcade games and other Live purchases
- The 20GB hard drive will be erased during the transfer
- Once you load purchased Live games and TV shows you will have to be connected to watch them.
- Movie rentals will not transfer, so watch them first.
- Depending on the amount of data the transfer can take up to an hour
(Based on the instructions Kotaku provides, which require you to connect the 20GB HDD to the Elite first... if you're trading in your old Xbox 360 you may either want to keep the 20GB HDD or do the migration thingy in-store before you fork it over for cash. Insist if you have to.)

Thats gay mean i have to get my achievements again if i want to keep the new stuff on the hard drive. Why are they doing this to us.
You have no idea how Achievements work do you? They're tied to your gamertag. So if you don't want to erase all the stuff you get on the 120HDD, just recover your gamertag from XBL to it. The only important thing you'll lose by not transferring is saves.
The only thing that's a total pissoff is that not MS is not willing to bypass the DRM on XBLA games. Sure, you can still play them on live, but people like me don't have ready access to Live from their TV.
Well first i own a 360 and PS3, and MS is screwing things really good this time, first 3 models core, premium and now elite, why 120gb? you can't put your own movies in it, your own videos, your mp3's, photos, etc.. nothing!!! only things download it from xbox live, not even if you are using media center, i was planning to get a 360 elite because some said that it was going to have hd dvd drive but they say no!!!no hd dvd for elite, so the the hell with it,so i'm had with MS fu**ing glitchy games example GEars of war, the PS3 don't have this problems, i have been playing Resistance for a while 35 plus people with any glitch and Mortal Kombat II, while on the 360 is crap playing games like Street fighter II turbo or TMNT and OMG!!! TMNT is a game from 19 years ago and it plays like hell in online mode thats ridiculous, and now with this thing we cannot transfer all are info to the elite without sacrificing something, this bulls***it, just i hope sony dont start

Your post is full of rubbish, firstly how are MS screwing things by offering the Elite when the PS3 is soon to have 3 models as well with the 20 gig version being dropped totally soon.
You can already play mp3s and photos etc do you not know what the USB port is used for ?.
Why would you want to put movies on the HD when you have a dual layer dvd player built in ? pointless.
There are unofficial addons which let you use external 3rd party drive for storing and playing movies etc
You will soon be able to download HD movies etc no matter what country you are in and the bigger Hard drive is essential.
Why do you have to have the hd-dvd with the elite when you can buy it any time you want and add it and also use it on PC ?.
You think there is or never been GLITCHES in fall of man ? try searching google for something like -

TMNT and all the arcade games play exactly as it should online you must have a bad connection, and the 360 mortal combat plays better than the PS3 version..
35 players in One game ? dont you find it a bit boring as you never really get to know any of the other players, even 16 like battlefield players seem distant.
Try Command and conquer when it gets released next week if you want to see a game that has real interaction using the video camera etc and for the latest arcade game try PINBALL which lets you use the camera as the flippers makes it feel very realistic..
