Warriors Orochi 2 announced for North America

Well, it looks like we won't have to settle for some Japan imports for our next dose of Koei's Warriors Orochi (Xbox 360, PSP, PC, PS2) series of hack-'n-slash titles. The developer has announced that Warriors Orochi 2 is being readied for a North American release by this September for Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 2.

Taking place after the events of the first game, Warriors Orochi 2: Rebirth of the Demon Lord tells of Taira no Kiyomori's attempt to resurrect the slain Orochi (aka Serpent King). Aside from covering the story of the previous factions, the game will also introduce a new storyline that will delve deeper into the secrets behind Orochi.

The game also receives a new two-player versus mode, which will come with four different play modes such as Tag Team matches. At the moment, Warriors Orochi 2 is yet to be rated by the ESRB, so you'll want to drop by again in case of any further updates.
