Waking up: Alan Wake devs won't be doing constant updates, gives out new assets

We know, we know. You're wondering just as much as we are here when Remedy Entertainment will release Alan Wake (Xbox 360, PC). Unfortunately, we don't have the date still, but we do have new assets.

Yep, as you can see, we've got new screenshots and videos for you. It's looking pretty polished and it's really no surprise given that the developers do want to make sure the game comes out in tip-top shape.

Says Remedy managing director Matias Myllrinne,

We're working hard on Alan Wake and want to make sure it meets and exceeds the awesome potential... It's still time to focus and we won't be doing constant updates on the progress. Naturally, we'll be happy to share and show more about Alan Wake when we have the next live showing of the game.

Which is... we don't know when. We're very appreciative of the new assets released today, but somehow, we just can't help but wonder. It's been three years in the making (game was first announced back in 2005). How much potential are we trying to fulfill here?

Alan Wake is the main reason i upgraded my pc. Its so beautiful and the trailers give me the chills.

I want this game badly, but i do not care if it becomes another Duke, i only want Alan when he is ready. And i'll wait forever.
