A couple of hours ago, fellow QJ writer Ryan A. reported that there was rumor of a new Xbox 360 model being readied for release. What made the rumor all the more enticing was that this new 360 carried a part that would help remedy the console's all-too-famous 3 Red Light of Death (3RLOD) - which indicated your motherboard just got fried (extra crispy).

With that said, we'll updating with a figurative a proof of life - a video demonstrating where this new component - apparently a heat sink - is located. The video appears to have been taken by the Xbupgrade mod site crew, although they didn't divulge any extra information. Keep posted in case we get any official word as this new bit of speculation heats up, or how this might affect Microsoft's pricing scheme.

Oh please

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does this mean there will be a 4th SKU of the Xbox 360?

These reports are from xbox's that are repaired in some countries in Europe, mainly France. IM sure we(US,CA) will get these fixes eventually but all these new heatsinks are in France.

2 questions for you

A. What's a heat sink have to do with noise? B. When was that ever a problem?
